The ZHB supports you in founding your own journal or your own working paper series or in "flipping" an existing journal to Open Access. It is a partner of the Swiss-wide soap2.ch project which is being funded by swissuniversities. The ZHB offers the following services, which are free of charge if members of the editorial board belong to one of the three Lucerne Institutions of Higher education
- Publication of the journal via the Open Journals System (OJS) platform, which enables the management of the journal in the back end and the professional presentation of the journal in the front end
- Support with the design of the journal
- Presentation of a working paper series on LORY
- DOI and ISSN allocation
- Advice on setting up workflows, issuing licences
- Advice and support with the indexing of journals in databases (e.g. DOAJ, specialised databases)
