Mastering RDM: fundamentals
Managing Research Data – The course offers an introduction.
All research data collected and reused in a research project must be handled carefully throughout its entire life cycle – from data analysis to subsequent sharing, archiving, and reuse.
The course Mastering RDM is divided into two modules:
Module 1 (Mastering RDM: fundamentals) introduces participants to the basics of research data management, with a particular focus on how to write a data management plan.
Module 2 (Mastering RDM: in-depth skills and knowledge) addresses specific topics in research data management. This year, participants will focus on ethical and data protection issues. Guest speakers with expertise in these areas will share their knowledge and shed light on the practical aspects of dealing with ethical and data protection concerns (e.g., drafting an informed consent form for collecting research data).
The courses are part of the multi-session program Open Science Unlocked and are offered within the framework of the Zentrum für Lernen, Lehren und Forschen (ZLLF) at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (course page with registration link). The target audience includes researchers from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the University of Lucerne, and Lucerne University of Teacher Education.
The courses will be held in English. However, it is possible to ask questions in German.
